An interesting Cameo carved onalmost the entire  front side of the shell.  The Cameo depicts the profile of an 18th Century lady with floral detail.  A fine Italian carving ca 1970.
 
A lovely piece of art to cherish. Looks great with back-lighting makes the orange layers warm up a room.
